To give back to the community, the UCF Arena team has actively involved itself in many community organizations around the Orlando area. Combining the efforts of the part-time and full-time staff, the arena staff has proven that it is willing to devote time out of their busy schedules to give back to the community that has given so much to them.

| Harvest Hope Food Bank |
April 2006: Ever wonder what happens to those non-perishable goods after you drop them off at a donation spot? Well the UCF Arena learned exactly where they go and how they are distributed. The arena staff had the pleasure of working with the Harvest Hope Food Bank in Downtown Ornaldo. They were able to separate the goods into categories that were then placed in packages that were sent to needy families around the area. |

February 2006: To start off the new year, the UCF Arena staff started a drive to collect as many toys, furniture, clothing, etc. for the underprivileged children in Orlando. The collection lasted one week and the arena was able to collect a moving truck's worth of donated goods from volunteers.
"It felt great actually being able to physically give back to our community. It makes it much more special when you're able to donate in person," said Brandon Gusler, Equipment Rental Manager. |
